Did you know that March is deep vein thrombosis (DVT) awareness month?
This month, take the time to learn if you are at risk for DVT and also warn loved ones about blood clots. If you haven't visited your doctor lately, schedule and appointment for a physical exam. While at your appointment, discuss ways to reduce your risk of developing a blood clot. If you're overweight, talk to your doctor about weight loss programs. Also ask him for tips on starting an exercise program.
